Milton P. Higgins
This is a photographic reproduction of a portrait of Milton P. Higgins, the first Superintendent of Shops at Georgia Tech. Neither the artist nor the date of the portrait are known. Higgins was given a one year leave of absence in 1888 by Worcester Polytechnic Institute, the school upon which Georgia Tech was most closely modeled, to organize and manage the Tech shops during its first year. He returned to Worcester in 1889 and was succeeded by W.F. Cole.
