William E. Fincher
William Enoch Fincher graduated from Georgia Tech in 1921 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He played basketball and ran track, but he lettered in football, being named All-Southern for the 1918, 1919, and 1920 seasons, and All-American for 1920. He was captain of the team in 1918. He was a member of the Masonic Club, the Tech High Club, and the American Society for Mechanical Engineers student chapter. He was voted "Best Football Player" by his senior class, but came in second for "Man who has done most for Tech"--to George Griffin.
